The route is mostly on reserved cycle lane called Via Verde del Pas. It runs along the river and it’s a former railway so the elevation gain is minimal. Road crossings are very well built with plenty of visibility for cars, bikes and pedestrians. There are no major obstacles on the way. There are two dangerous crossings: one in La Penilla and one when you arrive in Puente Viesgo.
