Our mission? To celebrate what works and think critically about what could be improved, all guided by the European Cycling Declaration. But that’s not all! 💡 The big idea behind this project is to equip young people with the knowledge and skills to design strong, realistic proposals for local improvements, so compelling that local policymakers can’t help but get on board. Bike Route ES 3: Cayon Towns
Hey there, changemakers on wheels! 🚴♀️✨ Ready for another adventure? This time, we’re heading deep into the heart of the Pueblos de Cayón, a route that weaves together rural traditions, lush landscapes, and the powerful energy of youth engagement. 🌾🏡 As we ride through these charming villages and natural surroundings, we’ll take a critical look at how this rural area meets (or falls short of) the needs of sustainable mobility. Are the infrastructures safe? Is it accessible to everyone? What improvements could be made? Once again, our guiding star is the European Declaration on Cycling, inspiring us to transform mobility from the ground up. 🌍🚴♂️ This route invites us to reflect on the connection between rural and urban life, to imagine inclusive and accessible solutions, and to pitch bold ideas that respond to today’s climate and social challenges. Because change begins at the local level, and your youth voice has the power to steer the direction. 💬🔧 So strap on your helmet, open your mind, and get ready to build community as you pedal toward a fairer, greener future! 💪🍃

Bike Route ES 4: Sarón – Cayón School (Bicibús)
Hey there, trailblazers of tomorrow! 🚲🌟 Get ready to kick off a new kind of ride, one that’s not just about getting from A to B, but about reimagining the journey itself. This week, we’re rolling out our Bike Bus from Sarón to the Cayón school, creating a living, moving map of what a safe, sustainable school commute could look like. 🗺️🏫 Like a school bus, but cooler and greener, we’ll stop at key points around the town to “pick up” our fellow riders, just as kids would do on their daily way to class. Along the way, we’ll shine a light on what works, what’s missing, and what absolutely needs to change to make cycling to school a safe and accessible reality for everyone. 🛑🔍 This isn’t just a ride, it’s a statement. A statement about children’s right to move freely and safely. A call to improve infrastructures, inspired by the European Declaration on Cycling, and a challenge to rethink our streets from the handlebars up. 🌍🚦 So come pedal with purpose. Let’s turn the wheels of change and design a route where every kid can ride safely and confidently into their future. 🚴♀️📣💚

Bike Route ES 5: Sarón – Pozos de Noja
🚴♂️🌊 Hey, change-makers on wheels! 🌿🌟 New route, new momentum, we’re cycling from Sarón to Pozos de Noja, taking our energy and ideas across landscapes that deserve to be part of a greener future. This ride brings together action and reflection, where every turn of the wheel pushes us closer to more sustainable, inclusive mobility. 🛤️🌍 As we cross rural and coastal areas, we’ll spotlight the real conditions faced by young people and communities with limited access to safe bike routes. It’s a moment to observe, question, and imagine solutions that match the spirit of the European Declaration on Cycling and the dreams we mapped out together. 🧭🔍 Our journey connects not just places, but people, building solidarity, raising awareness, and reaffirming that cycling is a right, not a privilege. The road to change runs through every pedal stroke. 👣💬 Join the ride. Bring your vision. Let’s keep pushing boundaries, making space for youth-led, climate-friendly action on two wheels. 🚴♀️🛤️💫

Bike Route ES 6: Sarón – Liérganes – Rubalcaba (Miera River)
🚴♀️🍃 Hey, visionaries on wheels! 🌄🌿 Today’s route takes us deeper into Cantabria’s natural soul, from Sarón to Liérganes and then Rubalcaba, we cycle not just through roads, but through moments of pause and reconnection by the serene waters of the Río Miera. 🏞️✨ This journey is a reminder that nature isn’t just a backdrop for our activism, it’s a partner in it. We rest where the river breathes, we observe how these green spaces invite us to rethink the rhythm of our lives, our cities, and the spaces we demand for people-powered mobility. 🌍💭 While winding through lush landscapes and tranquil rest zones, we reflect on the freedom and accessibility that cycling can bring to all communities, aligning our steps with the European Declaration on Cycling and the shared dreams of youth inclusion and sustainability. 🚲🛤️ This route is a celebration: of natural beauty, of reclaiming space, and of creating a Europe where moving differently means living better. 🧡🌿 Let’s keep rolling! hearts open, wheels turning, dreams growing. 💫🌐
