We passed by some local cafés and shops in Liérganes. I think this kind of route could really support small businesses if more people started cycling here regularly. Maybe in the future, a small rental point or repair station would make it easier for more people to join.

There were water fountains, benches, and even a defibrillator in Liérganes, which I really appreciated. I think it would be great to add a few bike parking spots and maybe some information signs along the river — it’s such a beautiful route and has a lot of potential for tourism.

The route connects nice rural areas and ends in Liérganes, which is a lovely town. I didn’t see many public transport connections along the way, but I know Liérganes has a train station. I felt mostly safe during the ride. The first part through the village had little traffic, and the footpath near Penagos had reflective signals that made it more comfortable.
