I would suggest installing more bike racks and improving lighting for safety during evening hours. An information board or a mobile app highlighting attractions and rest areas would make the route even more appealing. Overall, I would gladly recommend this bike path to others, especially those who enjoy nature and local culture.

I prefer sections that have a dedicated bike lane. For example, the route toward Puente Viesgo is well-developed, clearly marked, and fully separated from car traffic. It feels much safer and more comfortable — especially for less experienced cyclists. It would be great if other parts of the route offered similarly protected and continuous bike paths.

cyclists bring business to local shops, cafes, and services as they stop to rest, eat, or explore villages. However, to encourage more riders to visit, villages need better facilities like bike racks and clean water fountains.

We have met quite a few tourists in this village, so yes, it does have good potential. Also a lot of suitable infrastructures are already present. In order to improve tourism from the bicycle point of view, the roads could be improved and bike repair stations could be put in place.

In some parts, the route was not separated from car traffic, which should be addressed to improve safety. At intersections, clear markings or even traffic lights would be helpful to make crossings safer for everyone. At most it’s tractors or horses that pass sometimes, but you can also arrive at the beginning of the mountain by bike and do the hike on foot, if we can call it multimodality

I wouldn’t recommend this route for beginners. While it starts off relatively safe, the road soon becomes steep with many sharp turns. the largest trade takes place in Lierganes, being a very well preserved village and tourist destination. You could sponsor more perhaps, and possibly add a bike tool shop or points to repair your bike

I didn’t notice any bike racks either in Lierganes or along the way. However, there were various bars and points where to stop to eat, sometimes even to rest.

The route connects some small villages, such as Pamanes, Penagos, Arenal and LIerganes. is present. There is a bus line, but connections are very poor. I found the route safe in its entirety, especially from Saron (leaving out about 500 meters on the state road) to Pamanes. The route was on secondary roads or on a dedicated lane next to the cars. The streets are very narrow so the traffic jum happens especially during the weekend.

There were a lot of cars parked in the city centre which was very ugly to see.

We could definitely reduce car use by promoting cycling.

The roads were good but a bike line would be perfect.

In the village there are a few restaurants and shops.

It is already a touristy place but some cultural events or manifestations would be really interesting to see during the summer thanks to its unique and charming medieval architecture.

We saw a few bars and restaurants and one supermarket which was more close to Lierganes.

I did not see many bus stations .

Generally, I felt safe most of the time except some parts on the road where we were with the cars.

There were some trees fallen which could be dangerous.

There were not really any secure bike racks, but we didn’t fully explore the city. It’s a small, but very touristic village, so some infrastructure, as bars, supermarkets, water fountains, even a defribillator, were present, at least from what we saw.

The first part went through very isolated country roads, though still some benches and water sources were present.

In the second part, we passed by a bar/restaurant which is great, just in case somebody needed a snack or water.

We passed by some local cafés and shops in Liérganes. I think this kind of route could really support small businesses if more people started cycling here regularly. Maybe in the future, a small rental point or repair station would make it easier for more people to join.

There were water fountains, benches, and even a defibrillator in Liérganes, which I really appreciated. I think it would be great to add a few bike parking spots and maybe some information signs along the river — it’s such a beautiful route and has a lot of potential for tourism.
