An information board or a mobile app highlighting attractions and rest areas would make the route even more appealing. For example, the route toward Puente Viesgo is well-developed, clearly marked, and fully separated from car traffic. It feels much safer and more comfortable — especially for less experienced cyclists. It would be great if other parts of the route offered similarly protected and continuous bike paths.</p>

In order to improve tourism from the bicycle point of view, the roads could be improved and bike repair stations could be put in place.</p>

The route was on secondary roads or on a dedicated lane next to the cars. <p>There were a lot of cars parked in the city centre which was very ugly to see.</p>
<p>We could definitely reduce car use by promoting cycling.</p>

<p>In the village there are a few restaurants and shops.</p>
<p>It is already a touristy place but some cultural events or manifestations would be really interesting to see during the summer thanks to its unique and charming medieval architecture.</p>

It&#8217;s a small, but very touristic village, so some infrastructure, as bars, supermarkets, water fountains, even a defribillator, were present, at least from what we saw.</p>

<p>In the second part, we passed by a bar/restaurant which is great, just in case somebody needed a snack or water.</p>

<p>1) From Saron up to Penagos, the route passed through country roads, with field, few houses, and very little to none traffic &#8211; which was perfect, as this doesn&#8217;t require much attention span, or increased security. I think this kind of route could really support small businesses if more people started cycling here regularly. Maybe in the future, a small rental point or repair station would make it easier for more people to join.</p>

I think it would be great to add a few bike parking spots and maybe some information signs along the river — it’s such a beautiful route and has a lot of potential for tourism.&lt;/p&gt;</p>

I didn’t see many public transport connections along the way, but I know Liérganes has a train station. The first part through the village had little traffic, and the footpath near Penagos had reflective signals that made it more comfortable.
