The road to the village where we went to check out the bike route was, like most roads in Cantabria, picturesque, with mountains, green hills, and nature all around creating a lovely atmosphere along the way. However, despite this natural beauty, the route itself cannot be called something particularly unique or outstanding. It is a typical Cantabrian landscape that, although pleasing to the eye, does not stand out from other places in the region. The same goes for the final point of the route, Astillero. Cozy, peaceful, but without any special attractions or services that could attract tourists specifically. Except for a couple of signs at the entrance to the town. There is no clear tourist infrastructure, for which people would go here. To increase the tourist potential of such routes, it is worth developing the infrastructure: add information points, facilities for cyclists, small resting places, cafes with local products and sorganize routes telling about the history or culture of the area.
