Hey there, changemakers on wheels! 🚴♀️✨ Ready for another adventure? This time, we’re heading deep into the heart of the Pueblos de Cayón, a route that weaves together rural traditions, lush landscapes, and the powerful energy of youth engagement. 🌾🏡
As we ride through these charming villages and natural surroundings, we’ll take a critical look at how this rural area meets (or falls short of) the needs of sustainable mobility. Are the infrastructures safe? Is it accessible to everyone? What improvements could be made? Once again, our guiding star is the European Declaration on Cycling, inspiring us to transform mobility from the ground up. 🌍🚴♂️
This route invites us to reflect on the connection between rural and urban life, to imagine inclusive and accessible solutions, and to pitch bold ideas that respond to today’s climate and social challenges. Because change begins at the local level, and your youth voice has the power to steer the direction. 💬🔧

the route was all on the road, so we had to be very careful. unfortunately we couldn’t reach our destination because of a closed gate. the route was very similar for the whole length, except for the last bit to reach esles, which was more country. there were no water sources. it didn’t present any particular difficulties, except for the uphill parts, which for some were a complex challenge. the road signs were clear, and there was never much traffic
